Happy Fiddleback Friday! This week’s batch is a small one. 8 available knives in all. We also made 20 machetes this week, just so y’all don’t think I’m getting lazy on you. There is a new model in this weeks batch. The new and improved Nessmuk. At least, I think it is improved. It is going to replace both of the old Nessmuk models, and is a pairing of the two.

As always, my first priority is to thank all of you. Fiddleback Forge depends on y’all, and we hope you love the tool you buy from us.

The prices this week are without sheaths. I am lucky enough to work with both Heber Ellsworth and Rick Lowe. Both make fantastic sheaths that are completely different from one another. I appreciate your support for them as well.

All of the steel this week is 3D Spalted 01.

Payment may be made to Paypal, or by personal check or MO. I hold all personal checks until they have cleared. This usually doesn’t cause a delay because they usually clear before shipping day.

Attention!!! The paypal address is: fiddlebackpayments at att dot net. Please describe your purchase in the payment notes.

Shipping is included within the US. We do all our shipping on Thursdays.

Now onto this week’s batch!:

F2 – This little knife is so much fun to make, and very versatile and light. I’m sure it would clean a mess of doves like nobody’s business. White linen micarta and a tapered tang too.

Nessmuk – This is my new interpretation of the George Washington Sears knife. If you haven’t read his books and writings, they are certainly worth a read. This one is 9 1/4” long with a 4 ¾” long handle and a 4 ½” long blade. This weeks prototype has natural on natural canvas with a tapered tang on 5/32” thick 3D Spalted 01 steel.

Folks, we appreciate you checking out our knives. You keep us going here, provide two jobs besides mine, and feed 4 children and two wives. You have turned Fiddleback Forge from a hobby, into an American manufacturer. We never forget that!!! Thanks again.

Thanks Chris.

You got it. Kirinite is some kind of toughened acrilic from what I understand. I've broken and smashed it up a bit, and its tough stuff. Dylan thinks it could be what bowling balls are made of, but I have no proof of that.

Hey Andy. Would it be out of line to ask you, when you update your posts with 'SOLD', to leave in what you charged for it? Perhaps you are removing it for some other purpose and if so, my apologies.

I'm new to the FF crew but I love your work so I plan on sticking around for more of these...It'd be nice to look back on older Fiddleback friday threads and see what knives that I may look for in the future sold for. When I look back on some of the threads where you sold every knife...I can't tell at all what you charged for that specific model. I've found your sticky where you mention base prices and then the options for burl and G10, etc...but on new works like the sneaky pete and when a bunch of options line up....it'd be nice to just see what someone paid for that one.

Either way, keep 'em coming....

Best Regards,

I hit 'refresh' and hold my breath because I'm ready to pull the trigger on the Lacewood Bushfinger, and WHAT? I missed ANOTHER 1/8" tapered tang Bushfinger already?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Rats!

Congrats to whom ever got it. She's a beaut.
