Yes, that Kephart is gorgeous! If it had the green liner that matches my Woodsman and the wife's Bushboot I would have been torn, but damn I have been waiting to see if Andy would do that Raptor for a while...and I have been wanting something in drunken burlap. So...it was definitely worth what I will have to do to pay for it

I'm glad we both got what we were after. :thumbup: You were a whole 4 minutes ahead of me so it's good thing (for me) that it didn't fit the bill for you! I'm excited about this one, it will be my first Kephart.

Hey Tribal...Andy was making a comment because I just received a Sneaky Pete a few days ago that I had him make me custom in that handle material. I had to order the SP because I really liked the Orange Burst and had missed one on my second week ever of Friday's Fiddleback Frenzy

While I was waiting for the SP to be completed, A Bush finger became available on a subsequent week and I bought that one too! I had just commented to Andy off line earlier in the week that I might try and get a set with the Orange Burst. I think that's why he posted that note. It's all good....it's the law of the shark here and the first shark to the feeding frenzy get their choice...LOL. I see that Andy has offered to make one up for me if I want it. Enjoy your knives...you made two really good choices. Thanks for offering to give it up for me...and have a happy Thanksgiving......Gordy

I knew I wouldn't be alone in liking something like this.Andy did an awesome job at turning my rough sketch into one of his works of art, I can't wait to get mine in the woods, hell I can't wait to get it in the kitchen either

Oh, I don't really need another Kephart, I love the one I have dearly...it's just that since Andy is making tapered tangs on a regular basis, I really want a tapered Kephart too. It worked out well though, I think I may prefer a 5/32 version, and should go for a synthetic handle anyway with all the time I spend out in bad weather for my work. I think you'll like it, Andy's Kephart is my favorite bushcrafting knife to date. For now, while it is hunting season, I am very much enjoying the Recluse, but once hunting season passes, I'll be looking more at the Kephart again. I like the more belly for skinning, but when not skinning pointy really works for me

and why the Maple Burl Bushfinger is still there, I will never know - just gorgeous.
