First is a Fiddleback Forge Hunter in dyed Maple. New and unused, no sheath. $200 $185 SPF shipped CONUS

9.5" OAL, 4.5" handle - nice and wide. The 01 steel is 5/32" thick and has a full height true convex grind. The wood is stabilized dyed Maple Burl.

Next is Andrew Colglazier's entry from a Bowie building Competition on another forum. $150 $140 $120 $110 SOLD shipped CONUS
This is unused and comes with a sheath also by Andy.

From the maker:
This knife is made from a large farrier's rasp. It has a 10 3/4" blade, and is 17" OAL.
The handle is cocobolo; the guard and buttcap are mild steel. There are natural leather spaces at each end of the handle.
The blade was handforged, then quenched in peanut oil, tempered in my kitchen oven at 400 degrees for 45 minutes.
The tang is a thru-tang, peened at the butt.

International Buyers, I will ship to you BUT there WILL be additional shipping charges to ship to you. I WILL NOT LIE or MISREPRESENT the VALUE of ANY KNIFE on a CUSTOMS DECLARATION FORM. Please understand that if I cannot track or insure a package to you, I will NOT be held responsible for the contents... But of course I would be entirely willing to assist you as much as I can in the recovery process.

I reserve the right to refuse service without explanation. You must be 18 years of age and the knife must be legal to own by you and in your municipality of residence. Feedback will be checked. The first "I'll take it" posted on the thread gets first consideration for sale. BUT... Please do not post this phrase of intent to buy UNLESS you are ready to carry through with the sale.

Type of grind on bowie?

It wasn't ground, it was forged but I would call it a full height convex. It is 1/16" at the spine and increases to about 1/8" or a little more at the middle of the blade. The edge looks to be convex.

Mark, I received the Fiddleback, beautiful as advertised, Thank you for a great transaction!:thumbup:
