Fiddleback Ladyfinger Review

Still wearing it daily! Unfortunately I haven't bagged any more squirrels/rabbits to do some more skinning, but countless cardboard boxes and apples have fallen prey :D

I've thinned out the edge a little more. It's a wicked slicer and a good carver.

I really need to put it down and start using the Woodsman more . It's only seen kitchen duty!

I keep coming back to this thread for drool marerial in anticipation of my ladyfinger. Great pics.

Thanks! It's a great knife. I almost kicked myself when I saw the scandi ones come out, but none of my scandi edges have held up to this much use before without needing to be touched up. Strop about once a week and move on.

Check out this bench pic. The 6 Ladyfingers in this pic all have flawless convex sabregrinds. (5 of them are going to KSF)

I have a Woodsman and a Ladyfinger. And though I love the Woodsman, I REALLY love the Ladyfinger. It Stays with me most of the time. It has great balance, great ergos and feels at home in the hand, is light comparatively, and cuts well. I am not a knife nut and don't profess to be one, so my requirements are pretty simple. It is enough knife to perform and excel at any task I have asked of it. The only time I personally would need anything bigger is if I required serious chopping or batoning large diameter pieces of wood.

My favourite knife hands and feet down. Plus it's made it to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back with me, so it has great sentimental value as well.

Keep up the good work Andy!

I'm going to start, and run through all remaining orders after the KSF order is off the table!!

I am sure this is not the case but I see two spots still left on the list for bushcrafters, if so I want in!

Lots of overlapping function in those two models. Do you need size? If not, then the Ladyfinger is the way to go. IMO, a 4" blade is ideal. Also check my Bushcrafter. Its got a 4" blade too.

I'm just rying to decide which to get first. The woodsman or the ladyfinger.

I have both. The ladyfinger is by far my "go to" knife. I will say that the woodsman is an excellent knife. I use it on my big chores, but I so many more small chores. I'd get the ladyfinger first, were it my choice. Of course, you could get both at the same time :D

edit: this thread keeps popping back up!
