It looks like we need to make a clarification. The Fiddleback Outpost web store is not us directly. It is a separate company that is establishing a store exclusively for Fiddlebacks and Fiddleback-related merchandise.
We need to work with them to modify some of the language and design on their site to make it clear that you are not dealing directly with us.
Please do support them, as well as all our dealers. They all help us offer a wider range of selections to you all. We'll work out the confusion on their branding as soon as possible.
Thanks for all your support!
I think the confusion lies in the facebook post:
Fiddleback Forge
Check out our new online store:*http://fiddlebackoutpost.com
Fiddleback Outpost - Official Online Store for Fiddleback Forge Knives
That site is more than a little misleading. I think a lot of folks would love to support the Forge directly through their own web store.
Hey everyone - sorry for the confusion. The Fiddleback Outpost is a website created by us (Sugar Hill Business Technology Group), working with the Fiddleback guys, to sell their knives (and some related accessories). We've been handling the marketing (or at least a portion of it) for Fiddleback for some time and we're just down the road aways from their shop. We manage their Facebook page, website etc. We can see the confusion with the Facebook post today (our bad - we're used to phrasing all of Fiddleback's posts that way), so we posted a clarification in the comments of the posting.
We appreciate your comments on the website and please recognize that this is just the start. We know that we have work to do. We also want to bring you accessories and related products that interest you (more sheaths, display boxes, Fiddleback apparel, etc.) so feel free to provide any feedback that you think would help.
Marc is a friend and neighbor of mine. He has been in charge of our marketing since the beginning. He is running the outpost page. He is basically a dealer. We sat down and discussed the misleading terms today and changes will be made to clear that up. Sorry for any misconceptions generated. This is my fault for not being more vigilant with checking the site before the launch. Marc is trying to help us sell more knives and help us with merchandising. Please do not take any of the mis-wording the wrong way.
BTW, if you want to buy directly, Fiddleback Fridays, and also a call to the shop both work. Phillip is a cool guy to talk to, and a knife nut just like the rest of us, so there are more than one reason to bend his ear.
Contacting the shop has been a bust for me. Apparently the knives in reserve are few and far between.

Sorry u had a bad experience. I have twice called the shop and snagged knifes I wanted. I think I talked to Phillip, and he was very helpful.
BTW, Phillip is a huge Michael Bolton fan, so if u feign interest in MB or hum one of his tunes you will get better service.
