Beautiful pic Nathan! Looks professional, like something out of Field and Stream.;)

Took a hike yesterday after work and checked on some mushroom spots. Nothing growing yet, we need rain, but I did randomly come across a small flag laying in the woods.

Both great pics Tekton & Odaon.

Tekton - that is an incredibly beautiful nessie.

Odaon - that flag hardly looks weathered at all. Must be recent?

My guess would be memorial day. There wasn't a camp site anywhere near by though.

I'll add to the thread with photos of my two most recent fiddlebacks. Both are 3/32 (my favorite stock thickness) with A2 steel and phenolic handles.

This first pic was when I started using it to do some light food prep. It was fresh from the post much thanks to Dsarps!

Starting to fade a little bit from the leather. A little mineral oil helps bring the color back in the micarta and the shadetree.

Also nice to have a good strop on hand to extend time between sharpenings !

Love that Hiking Buddy, what are you slicing up?

oh, and I'm glad everyone passed on this Recluse for as long as they did. The handle fits me perfectly and the spalting is phenomenal. Sharpens up pretty nicely too.

Speaking of sharp:

Looking good there John. I like Yoda's approval of the Emerald green burlap on the Recluse.

I just received a Hiking Buddy last week with black G10 over black with a blue pinstripe. It has a classy looking simplicity that I like.

Good stuff! Thanks for sharing the photos.

Not user pics, but figured I would post up some pics of Andy's latest handle fixation. This one is kudu. It has some very unique striations - Very cool!
