Thanks Gentlemen. I'm still kicking myself for not jumping on a beautiful 3/32" wenge bushfinger that hit the flea market. When this one didn't get swooped on by the fast sharks I couldn't resist.

The Arete is your favored profile, no? At least for that length. Congratulations on a beautiful knife.

Yes, I love the Arete and the kephart equally. Two great knives. I am excited to see how I feel about the 3/32" blade on the Arete.

If it walks like a duck & quacks like a duck.......it must be Koa:

^Beautiful photo Peter. The Handyman is not to shabby either. You have some stellar Koa pieces in your collection. I think your Sharking / Hawking speed goes way up when Curly Koa is in play.

Yea buddy, Koa is definitely one of my favorite woods, along with Ironwood & Blackwood......thanks !

Beautiful knife Peter! I love koa. I have never owned a knife with it but I would like to some day.

Thanks Tod, that one was a lucky Blade Show snag compliments of Phillip L. He and I were standing next to each other & he had the knife in his hand mulling it over when I said to him, if you're not going to buy that knife, I will. He was kind enough to hand it to me. For that I am grateful !

Between, Andy, Allen & Chris, I have a feeling that you'll get a chance to snag a Koa handled knife in the not too distant future. I saw quite a bit of awesome looking Koa wood when I last visited the shop. Of course, you'll need to out shark a few others who have also developed a fondness for this beautiful wood.

I was going to say "don't let my wife hear you say that", however, I decided to let it pass and just say thanks !

It was intended for such a reaction :p

It really is very pretty wood on a sweet knife

Starting to get a feel for this 3/32" thinly ground Handyman. This thing is a fricken laser beam!
