Fiddlebacks and Kydex

Another neat example of the 'kydex retainer clip'...again from Sagewood

That is an excellent solution. The retention of kydex and the beauty and blade caress of leather! Hell ya!

That is one heck'uva set up! Wish I had thought of it. Looks like I'll be building one for myself and inquiring about using the design.

Eric at Mashed Cat Outfitters

Does he have patterns or do you have to send a knife in? Last year I bought a used knife with a Mashed Cat sheath and it is really nice, for a 'keep in your bag' type application where you're not using the knife all the time but want it there, Kydex is a good option since you don't want to leave the O1 in a leather sheath permanently.

You have to send the knife in. Honestly, even if a maker had patterns, I wouldn't trust it with custom knives. To get the best fit and finish with kydex, send the knife in. Eric is good...takes about 3-4 weeks.

3-4 weeks for knife to arrive to him . . . 3-4 weeks to make sheath . . . And 3-4 weeks to recieve knife and sheath! Booo! You are right though. Best for him to have it. Might have to wait a few years when I come back to the US.
