Well been out of the knife learning/building work for awhile after massive heart attack >98% blockage of the widow maker. Funny thing is the Dr. who put the stint in said all was clear, we surmised it was the molar I had pulled that afternoon and I threw a blood clot. Well it is aspirin and plavex for me the rest of my life.
Anywho here are a couple of pics of the one I finally got finished. Overall length is 10 1/2, blade is 5 7/8th. Aldos 1084 .182 stock. Flat ground it, HT'ed to 59 RC. Arizona Desert Ironwood, stainless steel pins and thong hole

Thanks to all on here who have given invaluable information, without a hands on instructor you guys were my tutors, and I really appreciate that.

Congrats on being alive to make a beautiful knife!!! You should name this knife the "Lad" for the left anterior descending artery also known as the "widow maker".

A very nice piece and all the best to your health. Please look after yourself JT!
