Field/Travel Knife Sharpening Advice

When it comes to field sharpening kits, there are a lot of options. But as you don't want to sharpen freehand you are a little bit more limited.
What kind of steel are you going to sharpen?
I would like to suggest two options:
1) Smith's 2-Stone Sharpening Kit. A synthetic medium grit stone and a fine Arkansas. Comes with angle guide.
2) Smith's 3-in1 Sharpening System. It would be a 2-in-1 system, too as you don't want to use the carbide pull-through-sharpener. The ceramic rods are a portable V-style sharpening system. If you need a coarser grit there is a diamond pad, too. Buy or make a DIY angle guide so you don't have to use the diamond plate freehand.

Went with the spyderco system for now. Want to have something that's kind of idiot proof, while I learn a bit more on the freehand sharpening side of things.

Thanks to everyone for all the suggestions!
