The US and Canadian Ice Hockey teams are playing a match about 10mins from my place sometime in the next couple of weeks I think. I was going to go over for a look if I have the time...

No fighting is barely tolerated in Rugby...but the rest of the violence is part of the game.... watch a good ruck and see the flying fists and stomping boots (generally on heads and chests) as an example of "good game play" ...

Yup... I've seen a few matches. CRAZY.... And those guys are monsters!!!! Don't know how long of a career that they can hope for. Better pile up those $$$$$ for their retirement
Ok I feel like an idiot for asking this, but hey that's never stopped me before. I think when it came to Orlando there was multiple venues, we were just one. Is that how it is or do they play only at one venue.? 😜World Cup is the only time I like soccer. Had a few beers with a buddy watching World Cup today and ended up heading to the sporting goods store to drunk purchase a Mexico jersey. Munching on tamales, sippin' on Modelo cans and waiting for the next batch of fake injuries and spectacular slide tackles -in my new jersey. Goooooaaaaaaaaaaalllllllll!!!

Just watched the Swiss win. So is there a drinking game where you take a shot every time a futbol player takes a dive trying to get a penalty? Or did too many people die from alcohol poisoning trying this?

You would definitely die from alcohol poisoning. It's fun to have a sporting event to throw a party around but the fake injury theatrics kill me. I spend half of every match yelling at the tv for the players to stop crying and act like a man. Guess that's why I watch the game for two weeks every 4 years.

I really wish FIFA would institute a "embellishment" penalty like there is in the NHL. The game of soccer (futbol) would be flipped upside down if they started penalizing people for flopping!

I jumped up and waved my arms and yelled goooooooaaaaaaal a couple of times! 
I also root for Germany since 7/8 of me is German, but it is the USA that gets my cheers when the two play each other.
Now if USA can just beat Portugal!
