Fighter...hamon, filework, ironwood.

Thanks guys! The 1075 is from Aldo. The blade is 8.5 inches. Nick, all the activity doesn't show in the pic...it plays nicely in the light. I'm trying to catch the middle ground of highly polished yet still visible. For another view of this kind of polishing, take a look at Caleb Royer's pic of the camp knife I had at Little Rock. It shows it in a different light. Thanks again y'all!

Great all around package. I agree with nick about polishing out the hamon but this piece is fantastic nonetheless.

I particularly like your steel choice. Ive seen some fantastic hamons in 1075 and some hard core Japanese blade guys say it behaves very similar to tamahagane.

Looking really nice Ben! Love that hamon, it goes really well with the rest of the knife profile, sharp! Thanks for showing it. :-)

Hey Ben- I didn't mean that as a criticism to your knife at all... I meant it as a compliment to what an outstanding hamon you created in that steel! :)

Thanks, Nick...I just wish y'all could see it play in the light. All the dark stuff goes wispy white. I talked to Caleb Royer this morning about doing a triple view of a hamon showing the different ways it plays in the light. We're gonna do it on the CKCA knife, so stand by for some cool photography;) Thanks again so much for the comments guys.

Beautiful package! Love the handle shape and contours, the guard, the clip, the sheath--great stuff!

Very nice enough work Ben. David really hit a home run with the sheath also, the ostrich really pulls it all together.
