Sold to yet another BladeForums member. Thanks!

Here's a new Model 13 fighter I did with some 3/16" 440-C. the 13's are already a lot of ''fun'' to grind and this is my third one. They are a nice challenge. It was hard to get a shot of it that captures it, but i tried.
Here's all the specs:
Model XIII.
Serial 003.
3/16" 440-C Stainless Steel.
Buffalo Horn Handles with red fiber liners.
Stainless Steel pins.
Blade length 4".
Overall length 8 5/8".
Weight 7.7 ounces.
Custom Fit Leather Sheath.
$150 shipping inc.

I've got more photos at:

Very nice - and sharp, I'm sure.

Do the scales taper toward the blade? They seem to be squared off on this model.

Beautiful knife! Very clean lines.

Another Shadowknife that doesn't last very long!

i was only away from BF for a few hours and i missed the chance for this one.
question:this one is 1" shorter blade than #002 but stock is thicker (3/16 vs. 1/8) and steel is 440C vs. 154CM, so Eddie can you comment on why you used a different steel and thicker stock and does this make the balance of the knife different ? next a 5 1/2" blade and suitable for medium-small size hand ? (and a heads up before ya post ?) roland

I'll take it :-) now do I do pay pal or money order?

Thanks Rook. You may use paypal, money order and most any other form of payment. I got your email and I'll give you all the details there.

Thanks all! yes, DrD is right. this can be sharpened, if desired, in states where legal. Rook and I may have a deal, but I'll let yall know soon as I do. I appreciate the looks and the feedback, too, especially since this is a new model.

eddie out.

Your killing me Eddie! I'm lovin' what you've been churning out recently! I guess I can wait another five months or so! ;)

Roland,
To answer your questions, I've only been doing custom work for 2 years out of my 30+ years of knifework. My steel of choice is, the steel I love the most, is 440-C in ANY thickness (from 1/16 all the way up to 1/4). I've always had such good results. When I am not doing a custom order, I have more chance to do something different, or creative if you will. My personal feeling is that this one is just as balanced as the other, but a little thicker and a little heft. Next one will be a 5 1/2 inch blade and Roland, you just may go on my ''head's up'' mailing list. Shoot me an email and I'll put you on the list.

thanks,
eddie

Jason,
Thanks! I got it. I have a few emails to work out and answer and I'll work on that soon. You are on the list and thanks again.

Eddie, Got the knife and it's great. Very sharp. I love the buffalo horn handle. The red liner sets it off nicely. Nice weight and balance. The cut out for the thumb fits nicely. Kind of a thumbs up position. Lets you point the knife comfortably. I like this particular blade length and thickness.

Thanks!
Rook

Rook! That is always good to hear when a knife is well-received. I'll give you my standard right here on the BF-- if you ever have any problem with it whatsoever, or just want a touchup, give me a holler and I'll take care of you, guaranteed.

Thanks for a great transaction!

Welcome to BF!
