the hamon pattern is very consistent and beautiful, and the blade shape is powerful as the flowing.
I don't know if it's just the picture blur or focus, but the blade finish appears kind of dull, almost as there were some decarb left on it or some etch oxides residue.

Above the hardening line will be somewhat "dull" as it takes the etch/polish differently. Below the line takes a pretty high polish being harder and will show the ashi as it plays in the light...my photography skills lack in the area of hamons
I agree, the hamon is elusive when it comes to capture into a picture....it's a "live" thing who likes to dance with the light
