Here's a fighter I just finished up. 5" forged w2 blade, smooth bone handle, stainless fittings, OAL is ~9.5". I was surprised at the color and depth of the bone, I'll be using it again. I've got a full size version of this in the works too, I'll get some pics up in a week or two.

You'll have to excuse my photos (as usual) :), the photos don't show any of the color in the handle ;).

It looks very nice Matt. I really like the double guard on it.I'll be looking forward to seeing the full size version.What type of handle material do you have planed for it?
 
Thanks for the compliments Stumpy. I decided to add a little dye to the handle, I like the added color. For the full size version I am planning on using wrought iron for the guard and bone/sheep horn/amboyna/or my stand by claro walnut ;). I've got way too many things I'd like to try :).

That's a slick piece of work Matt. Very crisp lines. I sound like a broken record every time I see one of your knives, but "real clean" is what comes to mind yet again. That's a good thing to be. I vote for amboyna for the big one.

I'm like a broken record as well. Clean lines, nice finish etc etc. I give a vote for the amboyna as well. Sweet stuff indeed.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I think my knives are getting better, but my photos are staying at the same level :). I've been persuaded ;) to go with amboyna on the big one...I couldn't take the peer pressure from Roger and that Gatlin guy :p.

Looks great! Swedges have started to appeal to me as of late. Etched wrought iron makes for great fittings and on the right knife is my favorite material got this purpose, so I think it will go well on the larger knife.

You amke me proud. Not that I had that much to do with your work coming together like this piece, but I am proud anyway. Really a nice, clean piece of cutlery.

Think you can make it to the Chicago show in Sept.?
 
Thanks Bailey. I'd say you had quite a bit to do with all my knives. I don't know if I'll be able to make it to the show. I'll know by the end of the month. I'll keep you posted on the show, maybe I'll get a table ;).
