Here's a bowie I am finishing up. In the photos the handle is only slid on; it makes it much easier to do the final detailing before glue up and boxing.

The blade is forged from w2, .25" at the spine, ~7.75", ss fittings, stabilized buckeye burl handle, ~12.5" OAL.

The blade has a very interesting hardening line, I etched, but I did not fully polish the blade. The hardening line is very visible, especially in certain lighting.

Price on this piece is $350 plus shipping, it includes a case, but no sheath. I'd be happy to send it to Kenny Rowe first.

Check here for a few step by step pics.

The stamp came out a little funny...but nothing serious :)

I give this one all of about 5 minutes. Freakin' gorgeous.

Dammit. Great snag Grapevine, that's a lovely piece. :) Keep up the great work Matt!

Roger

Whoever DID snag it has got an outstanding blade from one of the most talented young makers I've run across. Stunning

Thanks for the compliments!

Roger, don't worry too much I'll have several pieces that are right up your alley at Blade...several of which are already on their way :).

Grapevine I'll get back with you as soon as I hear from number one ;).

Matt, when you named this thread, you had to be referring to the fact that folks would be fighting over this one, right? :D

Seriously cool bowie, man!
