This is a "RAMANON" Kukri. The word RAMANON is
deeply engraved into one side of the blade.
The overall is 19.5". The 1095 spring steel blade is
13.5" X 2. 5/8" X 1/4" thick.
The guard, bolster, and pommel sides are 1018 steel
WELDED in place. The handle is 5. 3/4"
long with scales of curly maple. There's a full 5" of
finger space in the D-guard to handle big or gloved
hands nicely.
The handmade, heavy 10 oz. sheath comes with a
leg strap that can be removed.

SOLD

Thanks for looking,
Mike

YEAH baby! It's like the child of a 3-way between a kuk, a cavalry sword and a falcata!! Awesome!
How much does it weigh?

Thanks for the comments. Figured I needed to make a kukri
sooner or later. Took me a while to deside on a handle shape
that appealled to me for heavy chopping. Many of us wear gloves
for chopping anymore so this handle had to work with heavy gloves.
I tested the shape and it works great with or w/out gloves.

It weighes 2lb.9 oz. The handle size and shape make it easy to swing
hard and direct.
It cuts just like you think it would.

Got some outside photos today.

Ramanon is a group of knife enthusiasts that
lent some thought into my design.
I've refered to "it" as the "RAMANON" Kukri
from sketch to what you see here.
I think it looks good there.

Would you be up to reproducing this blade? I am kicking myself for not jumping on it when I first saw it; just looks outlandishly wicked.:thumbup::D

Mike,

The RAMANON Kukri was delivered today. Wow! The pictures don't do it justice. I really, really like it. Thanks again and let me know if you make another one.

Best regards,

ken
