I am cleaning out some stuff to make room for other projects. I am going in another direction with my knifemaking.
This is what is left from the Branton - Brend fighting hawks. The large one is 15 inches overall and the smaller one is approx 12 inches overall.
The grinds have been done on a CNC grinder. The blade steel is 1050 hardened at 52-54 rockwell.
The large hawk is a great thrower. If I were going to finish these out to sell, I would draw the temper back a little on the handles to make it even tougher and simply bead blast the hawk, drill holes and add a G-10 handle. This design will also work well with a paracord wrap.
