I think I understand what you mean, probably not really a word for it other than how you described it.
The way I look at it is, "in a pinch for self defense and i was going to have only a slipjoint on me, it's the knife I would have, if i didn't have a lockback or fixed blade." For me, it would be a hawkbill pruner.

Toothpicks, at least according to AG Russell and James Keating (knife fighting instructor who does designing for Spyderco) were used for knife fighting into the 1920s. That's not including the classic stabber jack pattern.

Looks superb, I really like the appearance, and materials, 14C28N is no slouch, and the bone looks earthy, also, the lack of a thumb nick, gives it a very clean profile. Kinda like the Douk-Douk.
