Just picked up these 2.
1978 single spring Muskrat. F'nR book lists this as the most rare Muskrat because "most were used up". "Fight'n Rooster" blade etch is faint and exposed blade spines are pitted, probably from being stored with off gassing celluloid. Tang is: Solingen/Germany and the "Solingen" is in the same typeface as some of my older Buck Creeks and Eye Brands, so i think made in the Olbertz factory.
And a nice Pearl Celebrated Irish Congress "Captain's Rooster"
Roland....these are simply STUNNING!! I sometimes find it hard to describe what I actually see in a knife-in how it attracts me...but whatever it is...has got me hooked for life, and has done for a while.
I try to explain this to my partner, and children ( two girls ) and they just say " but.....its just a knife " lol
Thank you for sharing these fantastic knives people
Congress knives 'don't' have Clip blades. I say 'don't' because Frank Buster had many patterns made which strayed from the Traditional, but in this case he followed the rules. maybe because as a Southerner he did not want to offend by messing with a pattern that had it's origins in the South.

A brand that I've always admired and they were always on the list of knives to buy back in the day, I just missed the boat on them. Thanks guys for a great thread.
