Most figural pins are custom made. I make one with an "A" in it. Mosaic pins are commonly available from most all knife suppliers.

How do you craft the pin with an A?
Do you go to a local extruder with a design?

I am not looking for mosaic pins. Those are easy enough to find

You need to find Alexey Balatsky on FB. He custom makes those pins in Russia. Fantastic quality. I think they run about $10 an inch

I use 12" long pieces of three things.
My "A" is a piece of 1/4" brass angle that I squish a bit to make a "V". Then I set a 1/8" strip of brass in the "V" to make the "A". I tack it in place with a little CA and trim the feet so it slides down a 1/4" nickle silver tube. I draw up red dyed epoxy with a vacuum hose attached to the tube until the resin starts to come up the hose. I cap off the ends of the tube and let cure. This makes a foot of "A" rivet.

Any mirror image letter will work for this. A H I O U M W T V X Y

Figures, like the maple leaf, are milled on a 3" or 6" piece of stock and slid in a tube as above. The insert piece can also be made in wax and cast in metal. With a rubber mold made from the original casting, you can make as many more inserts as you wish.
