For those that didnt see my spalted maple thread I will repeat this- I made alot of changes to my website since my last post -

1- Shipping is now included in the price, should make it a lot easier to keep up with.
2- I made some changes that should really help those on dialup load pages faster.
3- When you open a category now you can hover over the image and see a larger picture without opening each product. Should really help.
4- I have setup a blog at www.theknifescalestore.com/blog I will use this to show things such as whats coming soon.
5- I put a picture of me and a picture of a piece of furniture I built on the blog today, if you are interested see link to the blog above.
I still have a few pictures that need doing to make the store look better, if this sander holds up a few more days I should have that fixed.

OK for the walnut. These are Royal walnut which is a cross between Claro walnut and Black walnut. The figure reminds me of crushed velvet. 18.00 a set shipped to the USA. Canada add 6.00 everybody else add 12.00 for shipping.

383- 1 1/2 x 5 x 5/16 - one of these pieces bowed a little bit after I wet it. The wood has been drying over 6 years and is dry. I cut them into scales 2 months ago and they stayed perfectly flat until today when I wet them for the pictures. It is not bad and should flatten back out but I want to describe it right.
384- 1 1/2 x 5 x 5/16
385- 1 1/2 x 6 x 5/16 actually a little over 5/16 thick.

If interested say I'll take it and say which # you want.

Thanks Britt

have they been air drying for 6 yrs?? or were they originally kiln dried and have been sitting for 6 yrs??

also if they will flatten out and you can stand behind that with a guarantee of sorts I will tentatively take 384..

sorry for the questions I guess I just don't understand the post entirely and wanted to clarify the wood is in fact usable as knife scales as is..

thanks

Hey Rob, only one side of the set 383 bowed a little. The piece in set 383 thats bowed can easily be flattened with hand pressure. the bow is not bad- if you put the two pieces together you still cant put a dime between them but they are not perfectly flat.

Set 384 is very straight as is set 385.

The wood it was cut from has been air drying since 2005, never seen a kiln. No problem asking the questions. I could have explained it better. As with everything I sell if you are not happy I will stand behind it no questions asked.

Thanks Rob, I will get it in the mail tomorrow.

Just looked at 383 again and it looks much better today. I put it on top of the stack with no weight and it has come real close to straightening back.
383 and 384 still for sale Thanks.

Thanks Danbo , I will get it in the mail tomorrow.

383 is still for sale, I will take 15.00 for it shipped if anybody wants it. Money back if you are not happy.

I will take 10.00 shipped for 383 if interested.if not sold by tomorrow night I keep if for my use. Satisfaction guaranteed
