Not sure if you read my post right. I said Boggs has been around for a long time and does a good job????
I said almost the same words as you about their process.

My post about the File Dip was about a snake oil salesman using battery acid . Boggs is a reputable sharpening service.

I've never used boggs but I tried this with a muriatic soak, while I wouldn't call them new they were sharp enough I'd never consider pitching them either.
