Dogwood Filet Knife

total length 11-1/2”
blade length 6-1/2”
handle length 5”
blade is 1/16” s35vn stainless steel

I based the design of this knife on research I did with local chefs while working on my boning knife. In fact I never intended to sell this knife, but every time I made one it sold before I could get it home. The combination of a 1/16” blade and s35vn steel make this knife everything a filet knife could be. With such a thin edge profile on a steel this tough, this knife will slice like a dream and do it fish after fish after fish. What some people comment about after using this knife is it’s flexibility and control. The blade yields to lateral pressure then springs back helping it move through complex cuts. This is the filet knife you deserve.

handles are
1)green diamond wood over a black g-10 liner SOLD

2) jade g-10 over a light blue translucent liner. The liner has small cells of glow powder and will faintly glow SOLD

3) black paper micarat over red g-10 liner with red g-10 bolster SOLD
$145+ shipping leather sheath included

If one of these are here by next Thursday, I'll definitely snatch one up. If not, I'd love to be on a waiting list for one as well.

Thank all of you for your support, I am glade you like them. I feel I am maturing as a knife maker and being in my own shop has helped me to define my own stile. These wear a lot of fun to make, and are the beginning of something new I have been working on.

again thank you for your support
Dan

Looks like a definite winner, Dan. It has been fun to watch the upward progression of your knife-making skills during the relatively few months since your first post. Your obvious success is very inspiring! Thanks!

Double D, nice work!!!!! Not nearly enough makers produce fillet knives. Good for you to fill in the obvious gap.

And please keep them coming!
