I mentioned on another thread that I am currently working on my third knife. I hope to finish it by the end of 2059
Anyway, I'm planning on doing some filework (thorn/vine) for the first time. This will be a kitchen knife and my plan is to only add the filework between the scales/bolsters on the top of the tang. My worry is on how to transition between the fileworked area and non-fileworked area specifically at the rear of the handle without making it look abrupt or "unnatural". Currently, the rear of the handle is rather rounded (maybe a 1/4" radius) on each corner. Should I square it off more to give it a more natural termination point, or is there some filework solution to ending the vine filework? Just looking for ideas. Any pictures to help me envision it would be VERY appreciated!
Thanks.
