I've started doing a little filework on my knives, and have been using dyed epoxy to fill it in, like I see in pictures. The problem is that it wants to pop out of some of the grooves, after a while. Am I doing something wrong, or do you use something else other than regular epoxy?

Thanks,

Dave

Try leaving the file work surface rough, cleaning it with acetone. Coloring the epoxy that you put the handle on with. Then... assemble the knife use a little of a heat gun to thin the epoxie on the file work to get the epoxie to flow into the file work. Now you will have to refinish every where because you will have a big mess on your hands. If sombody has a easier way that works better I'm all EARS,
If you fill out your Bio. you might have a knife maker living near you that might give you some hands on training!!!
