Up for sale is the first knife I've tried clay packing on. It's a fairly traditional styled tanto, that is hollow ground from 1/8" 1095 steel. The blade is 4", and is 8 7/8" overall. There is four inches of filework on the spine in a vine pattern. The handles are stabilized buckeye burl with a ca finish, and are secured by two 1/4" stainless handle bolts and a 1/4" stainless lanyard tube. The blade is hand finished with a quick acid etch to bring out the hamon. The sheath is handmade by a friend, from 8-9 ox leather. He did some tooling on it as you can see in the pics. It's made to wear on the left hand side and cross drawn.
I'm asking $190 shipped for this knife. I take paypal at coolhandluke4@juno.com, postal money orders, or trade in junk silver coins.

price drop to $160 shipped, knife sold to samuel5090

post, pm, or e-mail with questions.

Thanks guys!

Not to be rude, but that does not look like any "traditionally styled" tanto I've seen.

It was kinda' rude, in my opinion...people always say "not to be rude" when they know that it is. And I'm not trying to be an a-hole, but you might think I am (I mean that seriously).

Traditional or not, nice craftsmanship!

Beautiful knife:thumbup:. I'd like to see more of the crossdraw sheaths. Much easier to conceal, and leaves room for the G26 on the right;)

Stunning, that's a tanto and a half! I'm not usually a fan of them but I would be proud to own this masterpiece :)
Best,
Gabriel.

Nice blade and sheath. Someones going to get a sweet package with this one.

okay, not technically a traditional tanto, but more traditional than others I've made. Thanks for the other nice comments guys, I really liked how this one turned out. First and only price drop to $160 shipped
