I have a pre-made blade that has little square notches cut out on the rear of the spine.
I'm assuming these are guides for serrations.

Looking for any tips or tutorials on filing in serrations.
Thanks!

Unless you're looking for a sawtooth spine, serrations are better left off of the spine, especially at the rear of the spine as that is where your thumb often rests when performing certain tasks. Are you sure they're not just for some traction for the thumb? A picture would be helpful.

You're probably right, now that I think about it.
I'll try and remember to take a pic when I get home. The one online is too small to see the notches.
They are very square and sharp. Maybe I just need to knock 'em down a bit.
