Well I got my Utility Bolo today....2 days from the Philippines to Canada...wow!!!! I'll be back later with an overview of it.

Here's some of mine..
Not all made in the Philippines, but I bet BTD can find one that he knows...
Hint, it used to have a black plastic handle! Now it has a hemp wrapped wood handle. Much better now.

Isn't that one (right side 3rd one down) a Parang. It probably had a black plastic handle with a single pin holding it in. Maybe it goes by the name of 105 or 125 and are Cap Pengangs?
Just asking!

YUP! but its held in place by a nut on the full hidden tang! Very tough chopper, hand forged spring steel. I love it! I bought it on a whim a while ago in ebay, and had to mod it up.. I like the way it came out. sorry I couldn't find your parang thread...but I thought you would like to see this one.

These look identical to the deals that the indigenous groups of Malaysia that I'm studying use on rattan. They go days between sharpening, and then use a smooth river rock. A couple of grannies can clear a rainforest faster than a bulldozer with one of those things.
