Thinning the herd of a few that don't get enough love from me.
Just back from David Rydbom at Kingdom Armory I have a titanum scale Mini Samaritan in great shape with a fresh grind from David himself who added a gorgeous swedge grind. I'd sent this in because of a lock stick issue I had with it. It was locking up at around 60% and was very sticky to unlock. David agreed ("...I'm not real happy with the lockup (there's just a hint of lock rock in it) I plan on torching and peening the lockface over to remedy that and give you early engagement as well."). The knife was just returned to me with a new edge ground by David, and the lockstick issue entirely fixed as he described with very early lockup as you will see in the video of the knife. I'm very happy with this, but ultimately decided that this knife is just too small for my largish hands. I have the same issue with small Sebenzas, as smooth as they are, like this Kingdom blade, my large hands and long fingers just don't click with this size knife. $OLD All-in includes insured USPS Priority to verified PP shipping address. Next up is a beautiful CRKT Hi Jinx limited edition. 2014 Knife of the Year at Blade Show. Box and leather pouch included. #398/525 this has some dings to the edge of the titanium scale from the previous owners ring. It is lightly used, never sharpened - factory edge is still very sharp since its seen no hard use. Priced accordingly $OLD All-in includes insured USPS Priority to verified PP shipping address. Catch and release ZT0560BW with box is in super shape with factory edge. Minor signs of wear at the pocket clip goes with the finish of the knife and I suspect came that way. Carried. Never sharpened. Factory edge is VERY sharp. ZT just discontinued the 0560 in its recent group of cuts. Super badass black Brous Blades Silent Soldier with custom Wildebeest Horn scales made by Steve Ketchen as seen on his page 12 of his thread here. This was my user Silent Soldier which had the original carbon fiber scales from Brous included. The blade reflects normal use and was sent to Jason Brous for sharpening just before it went to Steve, so the edge is VERY sharp as it has not been used since. Steve was challenged to work with the Wildebeest Horn material but did an absolutely amazing job as you can see. He would not work with it again as it is apparently very difficult to work with. It did necessitate leaving more material on the scales making them wider than other options. The resulting knife is a bit of a brick in comparison to when it has its stock scales on, giving it a very unique appearance and feel. Flips beautifully with strong lockup and easy closure. Case and stock scales are included. The knife is a numbered edition of 500. $OLD All-in includes insured USPS Priority to verified PP shipping address. Finally, a Phillip Tham Wharncliffe flipper gents knife. This one's a catch and release for me. I bought it here from the original owner who said it was a safe queen. I've carried it once or twice but never used it or sharpened it. It arrived and remains very sharp. Beautiful leopard mahogany presentation side with ti framelock and pocket clip. 2 3/4" Wharncliffe blade with flipper deployment. there is a small rub mark on the Ti just below the pocket clip. Hopefully the video will show all - I can add pics if desired. $175>160>150 includes PayPal and USPS Priority Insured shipping to a verified PayPal address.
