Got some big blades tonight, first up is a set by
R. Vilar. These are his El Lobo and Viper models.
Vilar is kind of a lesser known bladesmith it seems, though he certainly knows what he’s doing! He won Forged in Fire Brazil, he’s supplied the Brazilian special forces with knives, and he’s begun to make impacts here in the states. I’ve met Mr. Vilar and seen his tests of these knives, nothing short of a cold steel video without the pigs!
These two are great together, El Lobo is the knife the special forces recieve, 8 inches of 1075 steel built well enough to destroy a fully loaded Mack truck and keep its edge. I decoated the blade, and it’s slicey for a big knife. The sheath shows carry wear, and honestly you’re gonna want to replace it with a better system, but the knife is ready for anything!
The Viper is a newer model, 4.5 inch blade and it’s close to the perfect size for EDC, slicey and pointy in all of the right places! Also been decoated, this one has been used far more than the bigger one. It’s still in tip top shape, though again the sheath will need to be replaced or repaired, as the snap button got pulled off when it hung on a steel bar at work.
Both of these cost me closer to 500$ locally, I’d like to get $300 shipped.

Next up I have a set from River Traders.
This is their heavy roach belly and their small roach belly. I made the sheath for the small, and both have been used only in the kitchen. These thin 1095 blades are great for outdoor use. The heavy is about 1/8 thick. I’d like to get $75 shipped for both.
Take the whole lot of everything for $300 shipped!
