Up for sale is this modified Imacasa model #104-22 P-MI-
Modifications to this piece include:
~Cutting blade
~Shaping blade
~Dressing spine/ricasso/batoning zone
~Sharpening primary edge/partial back edge
~Convexing primary edge/partial back edge
~Polishing primary edge/partial back edge
~Flushing scales to tang
~Contouring scales
~Sanding/oiling scales
Blade Length: 22"
Handle Length: 6"
This piece combines long length with a robust sweet spot and versatile blade design for heavy clearing and wood processing. The straight region of the spine just behind the tip is un-edged and rounded for use as a grasping point when draw-knifing or a striking point for batoning, while the region between that and the three narrow fullers is sharpened for use on the back-swing and cutting a broad swath through grasses and dense vegetation. The broad point of the machete allows for strong blows that will wreak havoc on everything up to medium-sized trees. The rounded ricasso and spine at the base of the blade allow the user to choke up on the piece for extra control when used as a knife.
