Forum,
I have just finished a positive and productive conversation with Kevin at One Stop Knife Shop. Our situation has been handled with a mutually agreeable solution. Now back to business with One Stop as well as everyone else.

I simply have to say this; one of you overachievers can probably recite the conversation between Josie Wales and that Indian Chief about the importance of communications between two parties. Well, I only wish it would have been that easy for Kevin and I … for everyone’s sake.

Even more importantly, I apologize to you, the forum members for “conduct unbecoming” by piss-moaning any private business matters on this or any other forum.

All the best,
Duane Dwyer
Strider Knives Inc.

PS. (I’m Jose, Kevin’s the Indian)
That’s a joke.
No offense Rob!

I feel we've resolved all of the pertinent issues regarding what has transpired... it's been established that there was plenty of room for improvement with regards to communications - and communication would have prevented this entire affair. This should have been handled privately, but the important thing is that Duane and I have had the opportunity to get our heads together and discuss the issues at hand.

We've agreed to both put our best foot forward and work together to do the right thing for everyone involved. The greater good has been accomplished, the salient differences have been settled, and in my opinion things have improved for both parties. The willingness to work for a greater good is more important than ego's or grudges.

I'm glad everything is settled. Now we can all move forward... and get back to *business*.

Sighhhhhhh....:)

I love happy endings.

Seriously, while I don't even own a Strider(yet), I sure hoped this would be resolved peacefully. Nobody was going to win the way it was going.

Congratulations, gentlemen.

Strider guys and Kevin , you guys are SO cool!!Yeah, I love happy endings.

Now,

Back to your regularly scheduled program, "Days of our knives" ;)

"We must always leave the tiger an avenue of escape, so that the hunt may continue for yet another day..."

Is this Kipling?

Very cool.

Nah, it's just something I made up (I make a lot of stuff up, I have a very vivid imagination...lol)

It's part social commentary; for us as knife collectors, in many cases it's more the 'thrill of the hunt' than the acquisition (kill) that excites us...

And, it's part morals and ethics. To have a respect for our prey, and their right to live. I don't trap, as I think that's unfair, and yet I don't go naked into the wilderness, because god gave me more common sense than that.

But, I will hunt fairly, I'll give 'them' the avenue of escape, (a way out) and if my prey gets away, so be it...there's always the grocery store. ;)

Deep question there bud, thanks...and yes, Sir Rudyard is one of my favorites.

Please, PLEASE don't ask Rob to tell any of those jokes!
They all start with "Knock-um Knock-um".

Happy that everyone's all happy and stuff, and we can all band together and fight the Amish,
I remain,
