Finally! a 3.5" Emissary (the 477)!

Sorry, that's all I got. Tried taking a shot with the phone, focus wasn't happy. <~>

Damn.
Now I'm debating the 477 vs 581.

The M390 is hard to overcome

Yeah, I like M390 as well. But 581 is definitely heavy one (5.2 Oz) compare to 3.95 Oz. Also, 477 uses S30V that is very decent. You are not talking about 9Cr13C0MoV steel. Unless you cut copper wire all day along, S30V is very good.

This is my first Axis Assist and I'm pretty impressed with it. The overall mechanical process of unlocking the back, firing open, two-hand closing, locking is much different and I am getting a kick out of it. This is not to say that I prefer it over the action/convenience of a standard Axis, but this one makes me smile and it has been fun in the pocket so far. Aesthetically, I dig the closed back aluminum .

Overall: :thumbup::thumbup:

I saw one the other day for the first time at a local store and really liked it. I'm not a huge fan of Al scales but may buy one eventually. Nice comparison pics with the 940.

Got to play with mine today. Pulled the assist out and had at it.

First thing I noticed is the texture is a lot different than the 940. The 377 seems like it was sandblasted before being anodized, and it picks up scuffs and scratches a lot easier.

Here is a few photos of what I'm talking about after carrying it a couple hours only

Mine will be a user, so it doesn't matter, but I know it matters to quite a few people so figured I'd point it out.

Really want this knife but it would have to be blacked out with comboedge which sadly, is not available. I don't understand why they arbitrarily just not offer bk1 coatings on some models. Is that left up to the designers?
