Other than extracting ambergris from a sperm whale, what's the intended purpose of this creation? I mean, other than a penknife.

How about ‘The Bone Scraper’? Or ‘Lefty’s Litigation’? I can’t think of any names with the word vampire in them. You could use your initials VG. For example, ‘VG Reaper’ or ‘VG’s Wrath’.

Wow, wicked lookin' blade. My vote for a name would go to Maximus Otter's "NMT" idea. Very classy.
 
First of all, let me say that you have probably succeeded in achieving the intended effects when this knife is deployed.

It has that kind of wicked look that will definitely stop any undesirables dead on their tracks. The intention probably is not to cause intense tissue damage but receive respect and obedience from the person who is inclined to misbehave.

If it were my knife, I would probably call it Bloodsucker!

You have every right to be proud of it. It was born out of your imagination, and for its intended purpose, it has more than achieved its objective.

Sorry for the long response time, but I got a new job and wasn't alive when I got home.
I can't answer everyone this time (althought N2S's and a few others cracked me up!)
I just thought I'd mention a couple of things.....
First, Satin,
I appreciate your input. When I get it, I'll get all sorts of liquids on my hands and see what happens. If it's not up to par, the handles'll go and get replaced. Thanks though! I wouldn't've thoight about testing it like that!

Now for a bitty update. Thanks for the input with the names.
When I spoke with Kim, I asked that it be named the VAMPIRE GERBIL. He wasn't crazy about it because it sounded too weird... hey, even SF MSGTs can have bad ideas.
So we decided to name it the "VG".
Let 'em ask if they don't know me.

Oh, and this is the kicker! It's gonna be in BLADE Magazine under the "What's New" section. Probably take a few months, but you KNOW I'll be posting it all over the place once it's out!!

OK, back's crumbling...
