The Crab Shack is what the small group of meticulous old codgers call themselves who work in the Busse Custom Shop and who make the amazing handles that adorn most of the killer cool Busse Custom Shop blades. :cool:

I was finally able to get a pic of this cantankerous crew which is kinda like getting a pic of the James gang. In fact I'm pretty sure that at least one of these guys rode with ol' Jesse back in the day!:eek:

From left to right: Woz, Denny, Mike, and Cappy.

Woz is a Navy Veteran who first served on the Viking Busse longship "Ormen Lange" of King Olav Tryggvasonwas. Later he worked the sails on the Mayflower and then served on a destroyer during the Vietnam War.

Denny is Garth's Dad who piloted many a Conestoga wagon out west during the mid 1800's and who later made a living as an over-the-road truck driver in this century and the last.

Mike Thourot is an avid hunter who shot many of the wooly mammoths that we use for handles today. He is a long-time knifemaker who is credited with making King Arthur's sword! After helping George Washington cross the Delaware he later served as an Army Ranger in Vietnam.

Cappy is a proud veteran of the United States Army. When he was younger He was credited with single handedly putting out the great Chicago fire of 1871. He recently retired as a Captain from a big city Fire Department!

All in all these four guys bring well over 10,000 years of experience to the Crab Shack. Garth (who is not pictured) leads this scary group of old HOGs as best he can.

Know that when you're holding a Busse Custom Knife from the Crab Shack that you are holding a piece of history made by men who were there when history was being made!!!:thumbsup::cool:

We salute you!:thumbsup::cool:

Let's Drink!:thumbsup:

He did say they were hard to get a photograph of.:D

With that thread title, I was concerned we were gonna see another seahorse.:eek:

I see no pic either but thank you gentlemen for your hard work and craftsmanship. A special thanks to Mike for taking down the Mammoth for Crab Shack Hunter. Still waiting on a trophy buck worthy of its use.

Tough looking crew. I can partially see and barely make out..what looks like a hugh sword in the background..

INFI Claymore's for Christmas?

Just kidding...can't see a damn thing..
