What I had to do is: slow it down, use less pressure, and pay more attention.
And thanks, by the way!![]()

You mentioned able to do so with guided system, now freehand it is .. I guess you won't go back to guided system?![]()
how long did it take you to get this edge? faster then using an edge pro?
How fine do you go?
holy monkey satan thats sharp ive NEVER seen that before
Not completely freehand since you set the bevel with your edge pro, but congratulations.![]()
Stones went up to UF. (sharpmaker stone) And the strop was loaded with green compound, no clue what grit/micron size that is.
Thanks!![]()
I saw that wedge he made; it looks really handy.
What stones did you get?
ususally green compound is CrO 0.5 micron isn't it? I ususally use a white rouge which is like 5 micron and split hairs like you can.
I want to get some diamond spray.
that stuff is much more accurate as far as grit size goes and it goes much lower then the green compounds do. probally last forever as well if it doesnt get contaminated with metal from your knifes. http://www.lapidarymachines.com/polishes.shtml 200,000 grit (1/8 micron) for only 15 bucks haha. Never used it myself. should be intresting if you can tell the difference though. Time to get a microscope with 200-400X zoom to tell the difference since you have exhausted most physical tests for sharpness.
