Finally added diamonds

Thanks for the responses ... most of my knives I will still sharpen on my Shaptons and Chosera and other whet or oil stones ... I will keep the diamonds for harder steels or to repair or reprofile ...

I may once I get used to the diamonds if I like them as much as my other stones ... I may end up using them on more knives even with softer steels ... but for now I wanted to have something for the harder steels and it will take me some time to get use to these diamond stones ... but it was time to add them to save time and get better results as I have started to get a few knives here and there that are steels that require diamonds to sharpen them efficiently ...

my Shapton Glass could sharpen most but it took a long time and wore too much on the stones ...

I wasn't sure if mineral oil would be a good choice or not I have been using water with a bit of simple green ... seems it gives a decent feel ... I may try some Nortons oil sometime ...

I do appreciate everyones responses it helps me find out things to try to get more comfortable using the diamond set up ...
