This is a friend's grinder set-up. I met him in central Mexico while visting my parents, who recently retired there. Pedal-Power.

Great googlymoogly! That's one heck of a grinder! You simply have to post a video of you using that bad boy!

You've got to be sh*t'in me :D :D :D

Does that thing actually function ? I notice it's missing a pedal, but does have a seat
He must have upgraded to paying one of the young'uns to turn the single pedal by hand ........................... ;)

Oh, I think I understand .......... the seat must be for the person grinding . Maybe ............... ?

Whatever the case, I've got to hand it to the user/maker

Whatever works for ya !! :)

It looks like appropriate technology to me, made of available materials to perform a specific function.

Let me put into perspective for you all.....
1) Your outside in the fresh air, making something you love.
2) Your getting good exercise, you'll be the thinnest guy at the show.
3) Your electric bills will be low, but your food bills will be higher.
4) Cheap Variable speed!
I like it!

Good thinking. Paying someone to turn the wheel in Mexico would be cheaper than the cost of operating a motor.

I like the laptop computer rest up by the handlebars. That way your help can do the books while you're grinding. I think that's called multitasking, but I'm no six sigma or nuthin'. BTW, the gal who operates the bike only has one leg - only needs one pedal...

Ok, all fun aside, I love the idea.
