never had a spyderco before, wasnt a huge fan of the shape of the knives but ive always heard nothing but good things about them. So i thought id start off cheap with a tenacious and just kind of carry it and use it for a while. Well 1 hour later Im sitting here mad at myself for judging by looks. So now it looks like ill be asking for the PM2 for a little hubby present.

I never got the whole PM2 thing. Till I got one for a friend. Then i played with it for 10 minutes, accidentally cut myself, she was then like "really colin? You had to do that didnt you?"

But yea PM2s. You will love it.
I have a Para3 which I absolutely love. Its essentially a mini PM2. Got the cru-wear model. And never looked back. It's my smaller work knife.

ive had a few budget knives, im not a collector by any means, pretty much buy them as an "adult fidget spinner with a use". handful of Kershaws, two SOG flash's, the $15 big 5 smith and wesson. My nicest knife is my mini griptillian. But man, this thing feels way better than any of those. seriously cant wait for the PM2 now. only complaint is no deep carry clip but that is an easy fix. Definitely gets my vote and will be my new EDC for a long time.

Spydercos are some of the best users out there. Some people just want a nice looking knife they can open mail with.

Welcome to the club. The Tenacious line is a good appetizer but the PM2 is sort of a better knife to experience what Spyderco is really about.

I’m sure you can convince your husband. Women have their ways!

My first (and only) Spyderco knife is the Delica 4 FFG. I agree, the looks of it put me off for quite a while. It's a good knife - well made, good ergonomics, does what you need it to do. Not my most often carried knife but I do carry and use it. I have not regretted the purchase. Still ugly.

I used to think they were weird looking, but handling one for all of 10 seconds and I got the whole formmeets function approach and ended up getting 6 Spydercos within 2 months. I like the PM2 best, but the Endura has had nearly 50% of my pocket time compared to the rest combined ever since I got it. Excellent users. Totally worth the cash investment. Got em all second hand on the Exchange here on BF for excellent prices.

Yeah, they are ugly and all that but, they work so well.:D

My biggest complaint against them (other than looks) is how much pocket real estate they need. That really is my biggest problem with Spydercos.

I thought I should challenge my dislike of their looks too. And for years now, my dedicated cardboard blades are Spyderco, and there’s nothing on the market near their price that would do as well. I’m very happy with them, and use one every day.

But they’re still ugly.

Yup, Spydies are sort of weird-looking, but...they grow on you. Top marks for design, precision manufacture, ergos and all-round usefulness. I now have a Mule in CPM 20CV, a Para2 in CPM S30V, a Military in CPM S110V (talk about a super steel!) and my wife has one of their paring knives and loves it.

I am not a fan of a lot of Spyderco knives, but the PM2 is perfection. You will love it.

The Military is a bit too big, the PM3 a bit too small... PM2 is juuuuust right.

I didn’t really get the Spyderco thing. I purchased and tried to like the PM2 but it really didn’t do it for me. I guess I’m one of the few that isn’t a spyderco fan.

I am the husband man :mad::D:D:D
I read what you wrote in your post wrong too.. had to reread it to see you are the husband. you used a weird term......"for a little hubby present." confused me on which you were......

anyways......congrats on your spyderco. enjoy 'er.......

I wish they did a Military 2, 3.75 in blade, compression lock, 4 way clip. But for the moment I am content with my two PM2's and my Military. The Shaman is nice and I like using it, but something about lacks behind the PM2/Millie.

I've heard the occasional comment that my Para2 is 'kinda funny looking'.
So I hand it to the person and explain how to grip it, sabre grip, push your thumb into the ramp, feel it lock up in the hand. Then hit them with the Spyderco line. "Built for the hand, not for the eye".

I had an endura for years before I began collecting Spydercos. Then I saw a Tenacious behind the counter at Wally’s, then got a pm2, got rid of the tenacious after getting a Manix2 and Millie in s110v and never looked back after that. It’s crazy how many you will tell yourself you need, or will be the last one, within a year or two.
