Finally finished another knife

I forged the blade out August of last year. Been trying to work on it here and there while doing hawks. 7 months in the making. Thats got to be some kind of record,the fastest I have finished a knife in several years.:)

Forged from an old cultivator tooth. Handle is black locust. Pieces of iron from the same old plow frame that the tooth came off for the fittings. Lightly aged.

man i really like that knife, made to look rustic, with the qualitity of a modern knife. a++

Black locust! What a great looking handle, very hard wood, we make fence posts out of them. Looks great!
 
This knife is so natural looking, the lines and the textures are well blended together. Nothing distracts my eyes, everything on it just flows... It is something like a Zen philosophy, simple, elegant and natural.
