Hopefully I won't be in that situation again anytime soon. The other thing I'll say is you can always grind off mistakes as long as you have enough material there. I was trying to fix the bolster. I kept seeing the outline of the pins when I polished them. So, I put it back on the grinder and ended up hitting the top of the blade and bottom of the blade at the ricasso area and radiused the bottom, and scratched the face of the bolsters. Luckily it was a 400 grit belt. I was able to polish the scratches off the face of the bolsters, but I had to take of a good bit of the bottom and top of the blade. I thought it was gonna change the whole look of the knife. Luckily everything turned out good but it took well over and hour to fix everything.
