Also, Im going to be putting up a video of the sharpening job I did on it.(wont be up for a bit)
Also Im going to put up a vid tomorow of an easy way to split small rounds of wood in the bush( I wont be in the bush, but its works everywhere) I took one today, but it came out too grainy, so Ill redo it tomorow.

A baldric is my preferred method too. I even carry axes like that. Most of the time the ax lives in the pack, but hands free is invaluable for being able to forage wood and get it back to the nest. With axes I have a dangler bit too. Nothing fancy, just a bit that can be tucked under the belt to stop it swinging forward when bending over.

oh, let's make it a contest! I will guess 4.75 inches.

It's a nice baldric, dude. I like baldrics, but I also like bush belts. Very conflicted, I am. I think I default to the belt simply because I also hang shop tools off of it.

Nice rig. have you tested it in the woods? for light hiking etc it seems sound, but i would be scared of it falling off when i needed the knife most example: vigorous activity (running away from a predator, rare as that would be) or a fall. For me, the belt is still the best place for my knifes.
does anyone agree or is this just me being to cautious?

A balrdic isn't going to fall off while running. The knife should be fine as well, if the sheath is fastened through a belt loop or something.

Flopping around is the only real worry, and that's easily controlled with a side strap.

HAHA, one thing I can tell anyone who is going to make one, Try it and then buy the rest you want. :D

But serioulsly, it took around 2 hours, and a 75' spool of rope. I now have 50' on this loop, and a wrist one I made with 8' or 9' of rope.

And Koyote you were close, a 4.5" blade on the nimravus.

Sharp Newbie, I have found it never to come off, but like said it does move around, I just add a little carrabiener and then clip it too a belt loop.
