Finally Got a 110

Good sale on 110's with s30v blades,just look at a very well known hunting supply company that begins with the letter C...

Aww man. I really wish you hadn't posted that. :D I've been lusting after that knife for awhile.

The description says the blade has a titanium aluminum nitride coating. Is that like Melonite or Tenifer?

I would bite but bought a few vanguard fixed blade s30v version's with rosewood when they had $20 off/$100 and then with discount gift cards I bought and free shipping... Hope the grandkids hunt...

I'd like to take advantage of that sale. I bought a couple Case knives and a lantern recently so my budget is zero. Plus I ordered a CS 110 at the beginning of the month, which seems like ages ago, so I guess I can wait. That particular store has run that same sale a couple times recently, so maybe I'll be ready the next time around.

I would as well but fresh out of discount gift cards but that does not make the itch go away... 😳
 
I would buy that in a heart beat but they will not ship that particular item overseas. Something about it being a proprietary item or some such nonsense.

You're right about that. Seeing that price on that blade is almost too good to be true. It's hard to stay away from it...

I'm sure it does. :D I've been fighting with myself ever since I made my earlier post. :eek: I'm just not sure what I want to do. If I got it, I don't know if I would carry it. My Spitfire has really spoiled me. I absolutely love it. If Buck ever did a Spitfire with S30V I'd be the first in line. Anyone from Buck reading this? :D It's so slim and light that I usually forget I even have it in my pocket. If I don't want to dirty my Spitfire, I got a cheapo $8 camo utility knife from Tractor Supply that I use as my beater knife. I REALLY want the AG 110, but it would probably end up just sitting in its box like my normal 110. Doing a Google image search for the AG 110 isn't helping matters any, either. :p
 
Have had a 112 since in the '70s that has "Tylan 200" engraved on a bolster, a promotional from Hog Medicine I think. Bought it off of an individual that dealt in knives, CB radios, etc. A while back, while waiting to pick up a La Z Boy I dropped off for repair I went into Wally World after lunch and finally bought a 110. Then a little later the 50th Anniversary model came out and bought one of it. Nylon sheaths came with both, but ordered leather sheaths from the Buck Store online. Then, a couple weeks ago, I ordered a customizable 110 from the Buck store, leather sheath with it. Only about another month 'til I should have it. My name is Grump and I have a problem, I'm a Knife Nut!!! :o

I couldn't take it anymore. I just had to have the AG 110, so I ordered it. :D I can't wait for it to get here. I'm up to four Bucks now. :D

Don't forget to check out SK Blades special run of G10 110's. They are only a few miles from the factory.

I've just been buying used lately,either 110's with 440C for cheap or alpha's with ats-34 for 1/2 the $ of the s30v sale priced... My kids better pick it up with grandkids or the great grandkids will be spoiled as well... 😀

Hard to go wrong with the 110, it's a classic. My favorite is a BassPro in CPM154, but I don't neglect my standard 110 in 420HC -- Chuck Buck autographed the blade when I met him at the BassPro opening in Calgary a few years ago. The leather sheath (you can get replacements from Buck) is more aesthetically pleasing, IMHO, but the nylon sheath is more comfortable.
