finally got a shrapmaker

now all i have to do is open it and learn how to use it , lol . thanks to Stockman for the tips on how to use it
 
Warning: Once you use the Sharpmaker to sharpen a serrated blade and see how easy it is, you'll start finding yourself looking for reasons to buy a new serrated knife (or knives!).

Like a new serrated Endura or Delica in ZDP, although considering how well the plain edge holds a working edge you probably won't have to sharpen it too often (not in my case though, as my rule is if it can't shave, I can't carry it).
 
if you can watch sals video on how to and get the ultra fines if you like your sharpmaker best of luck:)
 
yeah i got the dvd , thanks mates. haven`t had time to watch it though . i love CE and SE

it was told to me verbally , he said to draw on the edge with a permanent marker , then use the sharpmaker , if the marker wears off the lower part of the edge , its working , if it only wears off the upper part of the edge , you have to reprofile the knife.
 
no worrie mate , i was playing with it last night , got my beater recurve fixed blade (its a cheap pos muela) and put a 30 degree edge on it , got it shaving sharp from fairly dull . wanted to start on cheap knives before trying to sharpen my nice spydies
