After two months of cleaning, digging and running underground cables, wiring a garage from scratch and finally building a new workbench, I have a working
Coote 1 hp VFD grinder. It felt nice to put metal to belt for the first time in almost a year.
Thanks to all that helped me decide on a Coote grinder and especially those that talked me into getting a VFD. It was actually cheaper to get a used VFD and motor off ebay than a new single phase motor. It was great to slow down the belt if I felt the knife get squirrelly on the platen.
Now my wife is going to be a knife widow again.
