So I finally got my rc tester yesterday. I was surprised, most of the blades I’ve made, tested close to what I was wanting. A few surprised me. My aeb l came in a little under what I wanted. Rc 58, but it’s a chopper, so I’m good with that I guess. This is the Ames tester, it’s easy to use, and seems accurate. I tested a couple blades heat treated by peters, and they were within spec! The one I was really surprised about, was my hinderer in s35vn. It came in around 56-57. Which explains why it doesn’t hold that great of an edge! I’m gonna test some of my spydercos this evening!

Congrats on your tester - you WILL enjoy it. Remember, you've got to have a nice flat parallel surface for testing. Testing on a bevel won't give accurate results.
