Finally got my website built!

Overall is looks good. Your photography is great! A couple of things I think need improvement. The petite gray font, while stylish, I find it difficult to read. If I was just perusing your site I'm not sure I would have read much of the about pages as they were hard to read and I'm viewing on a 22" monitor. On a mobile devise I'm sure it's worse. I always like a high contrast font and background. There's a reason that for centuries, books have been printed in black and white. All in all it is a very nice site and I can see you have put a great deal of work into it. I hope it is successful for you. Oh, one more thing. What the hell is your name? I assuming it's Marc from your bladeforum handle, but no where on your site could I find it. Customers that spend a lot of money on a knife want to feel a personal connection with the artist. you should make a point to let them know who you are.

P.S. I also just looked at your source code and your metadata is lacking. This is important info that helps search engines determine whether a page will or will not be displayed within search results. Do a google search on "web page metadata" for more info on what you need to add.

Thnks guys for the input!

NC,

I knew I would overlook a few things. Thank you for taking the time to give me your thoughts. I will make some changes as soon as I get a moment. I don't know much about metadata but it looks like I'm about to learn!

very nice, just like your knifemaking skills :-)
I agree with the font comment earlier, It's not the most pleasant on the eyes, and I ready every page :-)
also the front page where it shows the pic of you forging, also hard to zero in on what the pic is showing.

Thanks guys. I made some changes based on your comments.

Harbeer, thanks. The home page image isn't supposed to be very detailed. It's more of a mood thing and is intended to be subtle, mostly fading into the darkness.

looks good from here.... i would make the homepage a little more colorful or textured if i were doing it for my own. i really like the picture you have but there is a lot of white space for me and i'd like to see something other than plain white in the background to make it more inviting... just my 2c

Beautiful, clean and not to busy. I'm small business owner, took me about five years to finally find a company to get me on the first page of google. Like $200 month and they guarantee it to happen within 90 days. If they do t deliver in this time frame you don't pay till your on the first page of google. I didn't pay for 8 months but they have finally delivered so billing has started again. If your interested just pm me.
Website looks beautiful 👍

Good site

Good photos, photos are the key

I like the simple layout, no flashing or moving crap, ,no disappearing stuff.

Be careful of colour
There are many type of colour blindness and certain colour combinations are not visible to huge numbers of people

I also support black text instead of grey

Put your facebook and Instagram links up higher whe you can see without scrolling, use the logos

Will the use of the work Ivory get you banned in certain places ?
I don't know, it's possible.

Looks great, but.... to much white space if it hasn't been mentioned. I do like the layout. Great work on the knives also.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm working off a modified template so I'm having a hard time making it look exactly the way I want. I don't write code so I need to work with what I have while I continue to figure some things out. The white space has been mentioned and I'm looking for a way to address that.

Count,

Can you be a bit more specific about which color combinations might be problematic? I did change the original light grey type to a much darker grey. You still think it's hard to read? I have tried to move the Facebook and Instagram logos up but I haven't found a way to do that yet. It might be in the padding adjustment, I'll take another look.

Edited: I was able to move the social media links up but still working out how to add the icons.
