Hello everyone,
I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving! Today I have one of my utility/edc knives in Aldo's 1095 for sale. Here are the specs:
OAL is about 8 3/4" with the handle being slightly more than 4 1/2" and the blade just about 4 1/4"
The steel is Aldo's 1095, 3/16" full flat ground,
The blade was heat treated with clay and quenched in parks 50, then tempered to a target rockwell of 60, all in my digitally controlled oven.
The handle is black and green canvas micarta over toxic green g10. It is a slightly slimmer and flatter than most of my handles. It is finished up to 500 grit, so it will still retain some grippiness when wet.
The sheath is a pouch style made from tandy 8-9 oz veg tanned leather. It is hand stitched and oiled with neatsfoot oil for a natural finish.
Attention
I always try to be very open and honest about all of my knives and there will be a special price on this one because of a a couple handle blemishes. I noticed them after I shaped the handle and was going to scrap it, but decided to finish it out anyway. There is a slight glue line visible at the end of the tang and at one of the dovetail joints. Also, the dovetails are about 1/32 of an inch off. It's not too noticable, but it drives me nuts.
$190 shipped to your door. Note that because of the special price, there will not be a price drop on this knife so don't hesitate, jump on it! The first I'll take it gets it. Paypal is preferred and my paypal is: adam.reese9(at)gmail.com
Warranty
As always, I offer a lifetime warranty against any defects caused by normal use (not abuse). Also, if you recieve the knife and decide you don't like it for whatever reason, you have 3 days to send it back to me unused for a full refund.
