you can get the regular RC-3 with both kind of pommels. the difference is that the regular RC-3 does not have a sharpened pommel like the MIL, just rounded or "pointed"

Well I hope not, because I’m still planning on getting a 3!

I actually had them side by side. The 3 is a nice thin slicing blade and the 4 is a slightly thicker blade for heavier abuse….I mean use. For a general use knife, I don’t think you’d be disappointed if you bought an RC-4 to go with your 3. I really like mine so far. My next will be an Izula or an RC-5 most likely.

Eh, who am I kidding? I'll be getting the four. Just need to hold off for a bit, got a knife a lot like the 4 coming in from tito next week. Need to give the bank account a break for a bit after that.
